Freebie for your comments

Hey all you talented, thriving part-time artists/full-time mothers/full-time other job persons. Tell me what makes you tick. What makes you passionate about getting home, feeding the family, organizing your life and then creating till bedtime. Show me the way. Share with me your secrets to success.

I'm beat. Weekends seem to be the only time I have the creative energy to paint. Then I beat myself up all week for not working harder. blah blah blah. How do you super human women do it?

Leave your comment in response and on May 15th I will randomly select one of you to win a free print of my newest painting seen right here. (Don't forget to leave your email address so that I can contact you.)

  1. I would have to say that the best thing that has worked for me is just multi-tasking when I am at home. When I am sewing or making pastries I always try to make sure I am doing double duty things, like when I am sewing I put in a load of laundry and do both. Hope that helps you :)

  2. Ha. EB. I find it ironic that YOU are the one person posing this question to the masses. I wish I had a secret to share but the truth is I don't do it all. Not at all. You have found the trick to juggling work and play. That magic is inside me/us somewhere buried beneath bills and to-do lists. I look to you as the inspiration for remembering how to play and create. YOU are the wonder woman...I am a woman in wonder (of you). Don't let your art become a chore - that's what work is for. Ha! There is no schedule for play. xo. Jessica

  3. Wow, those are some very deep questions, though I must agree with Jessica's response. So many of us are buried beneath bills and to-do lists that much of our creative energies are lost amidst life's daily challenges.

It truly is a wonder that you have any energy at all to create, though I'm glad you do. You've only begun to give the world so many beautiful things to admire!
